"2 Samuel 22: The Rescue of David (Part II)"
By: Danielle Harth
Oil on canvas
60x36"
The Lord delivered David out of the hands of his enemies in a way that reached my core because the Lord has been a gracious refuge in all matters of my life in the same way. This painting challenged me because it is an evolution of the 2 Samuel 22 painting that I created 8 years ago. I am the same but different from how I was 8 years ago, as we all are. God carried me through this creative process, I persevered, and here it is. I am grateful to share my interpretation of 2 Samuel 22 for the glory of the Lord [my rock, my savior, my shield, the horn of my salvation, my high tower, my refuge, my savior]. Thank you to the wonderfully kind and patient Danielle Harth Fine Art collector! I hope that this painting brings great joy and memories to their home and family for a lifetime.
I hope this imagery encourages you to reflect on the message within 2 Samuel 22 of the Bible. Do not lose your focus. Persevere. This time that we are experiencing in this world is for a purpose. Do not let anything break your spirit. I personally know that God is always faithful, just as He was with David, and there is a way out of every discouraging situation.
